Being the 19th film in the Marvel Cinematic Universe and the 3rd of the Avengers films, Avengers Infinity War, allows viewers to recall information from all the films prior to itself. There is a sense of the need for a prerequisite of the films prior as you will better understand and appreciate the movie for what it is. That being said it still can stand alone as a highly impressive film. The computer generated imagery in this film seems to be some of the best of our time. With a $400 Million dollar budget, you can tell that Marvel Studios held nothing back to produce a pristine film, to please the global fanbase.
This film picks up where the previous film, Thor Ragnarok, leaves off. In the opening scene, fans get their first look at the overarching villain, Thanos. Throughout all of the marvel films Thanos has been hinted to as the “Big Bad Guy.” Those following along with the Marvel Cinematic Universe, know that Thanos has been tirelessly searching for the infinity stones in order to fill his infinity gauntlet. In doing so he would become the most powerful being in the galaxy. This scenario being less than ideal, requires that all the Avengers and heroes from Marvel Movies past, present, and possibly even future, to come together to protect the Galaxy from the evil, mighty powers of Thanos. In this film you will see all of your favorite heroes; Chris Pratt as Starlord, Robert Downey Jr. as Ironman, Chris Evans as Captain America, Scarlet Johansson as The Black Widow, just to name a few. The film does end on a cliffhanger but luckily the next film in the Avengers series will be released in a “Snap” on April 26, 2019!
This film not only satisfies the Superhero nerds like myself it’s also nominated for an Oscar for Best Achievement in Visual Effects, along with Winning the "Favorite Movie" and "Favorite Action Movie" in The People’s Choice Awards.
So if you are in need of a fix for an action movie or you want to feel like a kid again routing for your favorite Superhero to save the day, look no further, because Avengers Infinity War is your one stop shop for action, adventure, suspense, and might even leave you in awe.
“Avengers: Infinity War” is puzzlement and irritation and also, yes, delight. The action is especially tedious, but the final act brings a chill that represents something new in this universe.”
